- How does MIXD Entertainment pricing work?
- We publish starting-at package prices so you can pre-qualify before reaching out. Wedding packages start at $2,200. School events and private parties start at $1,200. Corporate and charity events start at $1,400. Request pricing through HoneyBook and we'll send a custom proposal based on your date, venue, and vision.
- What's included in a wedding DJ package?
- All wedding packages include a 2-person DJ + MC team, 5 hours, custom timeline planning, and playlist collaboration. The Bronzeville package adds dance floor lighting. Gold Coast adds ceremony and cocktail hour sound. Mag Mile upgrades to premium moving-head lighting plus ceremony and cocktail sound. Add-ons like uplighting, photo booths, and extra time are listed on our pricing page.
- Do you provide MC services?
- Yes. Our lead DJs are experienced MCs who handle introductions, timeline announcements, and crowd engagement with polish, not cheesy or over-the-top. We coordinate with your planner and vendors so every moment flows naturally.
- What backup equipment do you bring?
- We carry backup speakers, microphones, cables, and a secondary music source on every event. If anything fails, we swap gear on the spot so your celebration isn't interrupted.
- Can we request specific songs or create a do-not-play list?
- Absolutely. We build your playlist together during planning: must-plays, do-not-plays, and genres that match your crowd. We also read the room live and adjust to keep the dance floor packed.
- What areas do you serve?
- We serve all of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana: Chicago, downtown Chicago, the south and southwest suburbs, north suburbs, and venues across NW Indiana. We've played rooms like The Hoxton, Builders BLDG, Hangout Lighting, The Drake, and Sandy Pines. Travel is included within our standard service area; downtown Chicago events include a $125 setup fee.
- How far in advance should we book?
- Popular wedding dates (May through October) book 9–12 months out. We recommend reaching out as soon as your venue is confirmed. For school events and private parties, 3–6 months is usually sufficient, though earlier is always better.
